Married with Children (2025)

Married with Children (2025) is a brash, unapologetic revival of the iconic sitcom, bringing the Bundy family roaring into the modern era while keeping their sharp-edged, politically incorrect humor intact. Picking up decades after the original series, the revival shows how Al, Peg, Bud, and Kelly are still hilariously dysfunctional—only now colliding with the absurdities of 21st-century life.

Al Bundy (Ed O’Neill), older, crankier, and still stuck selling shoes at a dying mall, spends his days railing against online shopping, smartphones, and anything resembling happiness. Peg (Katey Sagal), never one to lift a finger in the kitchen, has discovered food delivery apps and binge-watching true crime, happily spending Al’s meager earnings while demanding “quality time” he’d rather avoid.

Bud (David Faustino), now in his 40s, styles himself as a tech mogul but is really a failed entrepreneur living back in the basement, constantly pitching ridiculous startup ideas. Kelly (Christina Applegate), a single mom, is raising a teenage daughter who’s somehow even more ditzy and chaotic than she was—much to Al’s eternal despair.

The Bundys’ neighbors, Marcy and Jefferson D’Arcy, return as well, with Marcy thriving as a smug suburban power player who delights in needling Al, while Jefferson coasts as her kept man. Their clashes with the Bundys create some of the season’s funniest and most outrageous moments.

The revival leans into modern-day satire: Al’s war with electric cars, Peg’s obsession with influencer culture, Kelly’s disastrous attempts at parenting, and Bud’s scams involving cryptocurrency and AI. Yet at its core, the show preserves the raw, unfiltered family banter that made it famous—no sentimentality, just biting one-liners and a chaotic kind of love.

Married with Children (2025) delivers sharp comedy, wild storylines, and a nostalgic yet fresh take on one of TV’s most dysfunctional families. Times may have changed, but the Bundys haven’t—and that’s exactly why they’re still hilarious.
