Van Helsing 2 (2025) picks up several years after the events of the first film. Gabriel Van Helsing (Hugh Jackman) has been living in self-imposed exile, haunted by the monsters heโ€™s killed and the lives he couldnโ€™t save. When a series of brutal supernatural murders begins plaguing Europe, whispers spread that an ancient evilโ€”older and more powerful than Draculaโ€”has awakened. Against his better judgment, Van Helsing is drawn back into the fight.

The Vatican summons him with a grim warning: a forgotten sect of vampires, known as the Crimson Covenant, seeks to resurrect their dark queen, Lilith. Unlike Dracula, Lilithโ€™s powers extend beyond nightfallโ€”she can walk in daylight, bend human will, and command other supernatural beings. With the fate of humanity at stake, Van Helsing must journey deep into Eastern Europe, from shadowy forests to crumbling gothic castles, in search of a way to stop her.

Along the way, Van Helsing teams up with Elena Varga (newcomer Eva Green), a fearless vampire hunter whose family was slaughtered by Lilith centuries ago. Their uneasy alliance is marked by mutual distrust, but also a shared determination. As they confront werewolves, wraiths, and cursed alchemists, they begin to uncover a web of ancient prophecies linking Van Helsingโ€™s own bloodline to the Crimson Covenantโ€™s rise.

The closer they get to Lilithโ€™s lair, the more dangerous their journey becomes. Betrayals from within their ranks force Van Helsing to question who he can trust. In a climactic battle inside a sunlit cathedralโ€”where Lilithโ€™s true power is revealedโ€”Van Helsing must face his greatest fear: sacrificing himself to save the world. But Lilith has her own plans for him, ones that could make him the very thing heโ€™s hunted his entire life.

Van Helsing 2 blends gothic horror, action, and mythic storytelling, expanding the monster-hunting universe with richer lore and higher stakes. With intense set pieces, atmospheric visuals, and morally complex characters, the sequel delivers both the spectacle and the emotional depth fans have been craving. The final scene leaves the door open for a darker, even more personal third chapterโ€”suggesting Van Helsingโ€™s war is far from over.
