“The Quest” (1996) is a martial arts action film directed by and starring Jean-Claude Van Damme. Set in the 1920s, it follows Chris Dubois, a street thief from New York who is captured by smugglers and ends up on a remote island, where he learns martial arts.

Along the way, Chris teams up with Lord Dobbs (Roger Moore), a cunning adventurer, and Maxie Devine (James Remar), an American boxer, as they face challenges and rivalries on their journey.
