In this sequel, young Kevin McCallister once again finds himself separated from his family during Christmas. While the McCallisters head to Miami for their holiday, Kevin mistakenly boards a flight to New York City. Equipped with his fatherโs wallet and credit card, Kevin checks into the luxurious Plaza Hotel and enjoys the city’s splendor, exploring famous landmarks and living extravagantly.

Meanwhile, Harry and Marv, the clumsy criminals Kevin outsmarted in the first movie, have escaped from prison and coincidentally arrive in New York. They plan to rob Duncanโs Toy Chest, a massive toy store, on Christmas Eve. Kevin overhears their plot and decides to intervene, determined to protect the storeโs charitable funds for a children’s hospital.

Kevin uses his creativity to transform his uncleโs abandoned townhouse into a maze of traps, preparing for another hilarious showdown with Harry and Marv. Despite their efforts to capture him, Kevin’s traps lead to a series of comedic and painful mishaps for the duo. Eventually, Kevin alerts the police, ensuring Harry and Marv are arrested once again.

Along the way, Kevin befriends a kind pigeon lady in Central Park, who teaches him about compassion and trust. The film ends with Kevin reuniting with his family at the Plaza Hotel, just in time for Christmas. While the McCallisters celebrate together, Kevinโs father is shocked to receive the enormous hotel bill, adding a humorous close to the adventure.
