Little Nicky 2: Hell on Earth (2025)

Little Nicky 2: Hell on Earth (2025) marks the long-awaited return of Adam Sandler’s devilishly awkward half-angel, half-demon in a sequel that cranks up the chaos, absurdity, and heart. Set more than two decades after the events of the first film, Hell on Earth finds Nicky settled into a peaceful life on Earth with Valerie and their now-teenage son—until a new cosmic threat threatens to tear both worlds apart.

The film opens in Hell, now under Nicky’s management as the reluctant Prince of Darkness after his father, Satan (Harvey Keitel), officially retires to a tropical afterlife. Nicky, trying to bring compassion and order to the underworld, is struggling to balance infernal duties with family life in New York. His son, Max, is caught between wanting to be a normal teen and dealing with inherited supernatural powers he can’t fully control.

Things go haywire when a rogue archdemon named Malbazar escapes from eternal imprisonment and arrives on Earth with a plan to merge Hell and Earth into one chaotic dimension—plunging the world into apocalyptic mayhem. To stop him, Nicky must journey back to Earth, recruit his old pals Beefy the talking bulldog and the metalhead brothers, and team up with Max, who’s discovering his own role in the cosmic balance.

As demons begin spilling into everyday life, the film goes full throttle with comedic chaos—possessed pigeons, haunted smart homes, exorcism gone wrong, and the Pope live-streaming demon fights. Yet beneath the slapstick and heavy metal montages, Little Nicky 2 explores fatherhood, identity, and legacy, as Nicky learns how to guide his son without repeating his father’s mistakes.

In a fiery, over-the-top climax set in a Times Square overtaken by demons, Nicky and Max must combine their powers—angelic love and devilish grit—to save both realms and restore balance. And, of course, Nicky still finds time for Popeye’s chicken, headbanging, and mumbling heartfelt wisdom through his signature speech impediment.

Little Nicky 2: Hell on Earth is an outrageous, oddly sweet sequel that embraces its weirdness and wears its cult status with pride. With cameos from familiar faces, absurd new characters, and a surprising emotional core, it delivers a heavy-metal family adventure that’s as ridiculous as it is endearing.
