In Freddy vs. Jason (2003), Freddy Krueger has lost his power over Springwood. The townβs residents no longer fear him. To regain his strength, Freddy resurrects Jason Voorhees, the killer from Camp Crystal Lake. Freddy hopes Jason will terrorize the town again. However, Jason begins to kill everyone in sight, even Freddy’s intended victims.
A group of teenagers, led by Lori, discovers the truth about the two killers. They realize they must stop Freddy and Jason to survive. Lori and her friends fight for their lives while trying to find a way to defeat the two murderers.
In the final battle, Lori traps Freddy in the real world. She defeats him while Jason faces his demise. The film ends with a shocking scene: Jason emerges from the lake holding Freddy’s severed head, hinting that the battle may not be over.
