In Scream 2 (1997), Sidney Prescott tries to move on from the Woodsboro murders and starts college with her friend Randy. However, a new Ghostface killer emerges, targeting her and those around her. As the murders continue, journalist Gale Weathers and officer Dewey Riley return to help uncover the killer’s identity. Suspicion spreads as Ghostface strikes in brutal and unexpected ways.
As Sidney fights to survive, Ghostface taunts her with threatening calls and deadly ambushes. Meanwhile, Gale and Dewey investigate, but their efforts put them in danger. The body count rises, leaving everyone paranoid. At the same time, Sidney’s new boyfriend, Derek, becomes a suspect, creating further tension.
In the final confrontation, Sidney discovers that the killers are Mickey, a fellow student, and Mrs. Loomis, seeking revenge for her sonβs death. After a brutal fight, Sidney outsmarts them and eliminates the threat. As the chaos ends, she refuses to let fear control her life. But the Ghostface legacy remains, hinting that the horror may not be over.
